Welcome back to our Summer Term!
I hope everyone had a great Easter and is ready for our final term in Year 4.
Our topic this half term is 'VE Day'. We will be learning about WWII and the VE Day celebrations. We will alos be looking at the historical changes that occured after the war had ended. We will also be learning about evacuees and writing our own scripts in English lessons.
As we are no longer swimming, our PE lessons will now be on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. Please ensure that your child has their PE kit in school everyday as we now have our new running track to do the daily mile.
Welcome back to our spring term!
I hope everyone has had a brilliant Christmas and is ready for our new term.
Our topic this half term is 'Minions'. We will be looking at the different characters and thinking about the different villains (what are villains?). We will be creating lots of different pieces of writing within this topic and some great art pieces too!
We are looking forward to starting our swimming lessons this term. Please ensure your child brings their full swimming kit every Friday.
Just a little reminder
For the children who have their ears pierced, please can you make sure they can remove their earrings by themselves or that they have taken them out before school on our PE days for their own safety.
We have PE on Wednesdays.
The children have had a busy first half term in Year 4. We have had the opportunity to take part in singing lessons and sing at the Lichfield Cathedral. The children did an amazing job and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
For some of the children who have been taking part in Netball club after school on a Tuesday, we took part in a netball match and we won 6 – 3. The children played excellently and worked fantastically as a team. Well done!!
Keep up the hard work and well done to everyone for a great start in Year 4.
